The Birdville ISD Board of Trustees approved the instructional calendar for the 2026-2027 school year at a regular meeting on Thursday, February 26.

The first day of school for the 2026-2027 school year will be on Wednesday, August 12. The last day of school will be on Thursday, May 27, 2027. The 2026-2027 calendar was developed by the BISD Calendar Committee, which includes teachers, district staff and parents and reflects input from across the district and community.

• First Day of School: Wednesday, August 12
• Thanksgiving Break: Monday, November 23 through Friday, November 27
• Winter Break: Monday, December 21 through Friday, January 1
• Spring Break: Monday, March 15 through Friday, March 19
• Last Day of School: Thursday, May 27
• Inclement Weather Make-Up Days: Friday, March 26 and Friday, April 23
