Haltom High School counselors provide teachers, parents and students with a referral form to see their counselor. Please use the Request To See Counselor Form below to request an appointment with your school counselor, crisis intervention counselor, student success counselor, or college advisor. Please do NOT use these forms for schedule changes or in the event of an emergency.

Secondary Schedule Change Guidelines

Students must carefully plan their course selections. Although students will receive specific instructions
and assistance from school counselors during the registration process, the responsibility for selecting
appropriate career and graduation choices rests with students and parents. It is very important that
careful consideration is taken into selecting appropriate courses. The choices students make during the
registration process determine the master schedule of course offerings available. The master schedule is
designed to maximize student opportunities and minimize scheduling conflicts. Master schedules and
teacher hiring are based on student requests; therefore, only schedule change requests based upon the list
below will be considered. The selection of courses by the student is a commitment to put forth effort to
be successful. A course(s) that will lead to College Career and Military Readiness will not be
considered for a schedule change.

After the deadline to make course request changes, schedule changes will be considered during the first
five days after school begins for the following reasons:

1. Errors in schedule due to missing periods (gap in schedule), duplicate courses, wrong grade level,
two classes during same period, or missing a prerequisite course.
2. Senior missing a required course for graduation.
3. Schedule does not align with college admission requirements.
4. Needs placement in special education, 504 plan, or ESL/ELL services per the student’s
Individualized Education Program (IEP) or legal requirements.
5. With documented academic success desires to be in an advanced program (AP, honors, dual
credit, IBC)
6. The scheduled course conflicts with another required class that can only be taken at a certain
period.
7. Athletic or Fine Arts schedule conflict with UIL or other competitive extracurriculars that
require a specific class period or when a change in team or program during the year is necessary.
8. Schedule needs to be adjusted for documented mental or physical health reasons.
9. Counseling or other required services scheduled during class time.

Student schedules will not be changed to select different teachers or lunch periods or to drop a
previously selected elective. When a student enrolls in a course (such as a dual credit course or
correspondence course) completed outside of the school day, the student must provide documentation of
successful completion of the course no later than the first day of the semester to be eligible for a schedule
adjustment.

Students in grades 10-12 will continue to follow their Program of Study established to earn a CCMR
designation.

2020 - Current Graduates

All graduates from the year 2020 to our current graduates may request transcripts through Parchment.  To order a transcript, please visit https://www.parchment.com/u/registration/22490/institution. 

2019 and Prior Graduates

Any 2019 or prior graduate may request transcripts through the BISD Records Dept. To order a transcript, please visit https://birdvilleisd.revtrak.net/Transcripts. Please call 817-547-5618 if you need assistance.

Diploma Reprints

If you are a former graduate that has lost or misplaced your diploma, you may request a reprint of your diploma. The cost to reprint a diploma will be $35. Please contact Nora Crews, Counseling Clerk at 817-547-5500 ext. 19618 to verify graduation & diploma availability. Once verified, you will need to pay the diploma reprinting fee at https://birdvilleisd.revtrak.net/High-Schools/Haltom-High-School/hhs-counseling/ prior to us printing your diploma. It will take approximately 48 hours to reprint a diploma. 

    Note: Please make sure you must have a diploma. Most employers/colleges will accept an official transcript verifying your graduation date. Please see information above to request a transcript.
