Haltom City Public Library Info:
NO GUEST PASSES FOR MINORS BEGINNING 9/1/2025
WHAT?
Beginning September 1, 2025, all patrons under 18 must have a library card to use the
public computers at the Haltom City Public Library.
WHY?
Due to SB412 taking effect on September 1, 2025, the Haltom City Public Library will no
longer issue guest passes to patrons under 18.
What you can do:
1. Take home a library card application for your parent/guardian to fill out.
2. Bring the form AND your parent/guardian back to the library.
Your parent/guardian will need an ID with your current address on it, or a valid ID
plus a piece of mail, lease agreement, utility bill, etc. that has your current address
on it.
A few notes for parents:
• By signing the Borrower’s Agreement for your child, you are allowing your child to
check out or access all materials in the library, including the internet.
• While library staff cannot monitor what your child accesses on the computers, the
internet at the library is filtered, which prohibits access to sites containing content
prohibited in Texas Penal Code 43.24.
Please let us know if you have any questions
